The Ministry of Education of Singapore holds the AEIS International Student Admissions Program every September to help international students successfully integrate into mainstream primary and secondary schools in Singapore the following year. It is applicable to students enrolling in grades 2 to 5 of primary school and international students of grades 1 to 3 of secondary school in the next school year.
Through the AEIS exam, international students will be tested in English and mathematics to accurately assess students' performance in this area. However, taking the AEIS test does not guarantee a student's successful admission. Students must meet the admission standards and requirements in order to be admitted to mainstream primary and secondary schools in Singapore. Other admissions considerations include degree vacancies and the community where candidates live.
It should be noted that before applying for AEIS, students need to take the relevant paper-based Cambridge English Qualification Examination, referred to as CEQ.

The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level Examinations (GCE 'O' Level) is a unified examination jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Education of Singapore and the Cambridge University Examinations Authority of the United Kingdom. Exams taken after one or five years of secondary education. Exams are held once a year. The test results are recognized and accepted by the countries of the Commonwealth of Nations. Candidates can use the results obtained as a standard to apply for admission to Singapore Junior College (JC), Polytechnic (Poly) or Institute of Technical Education (ITE), or to junior colleges or university preparatory classes in overseas Commonwealth countries.
Except for the native language, the O-level examination papers are all in English, and candidates are required to answer the questions in English. There are 12 subjects in the exam, with seven courses. Such as; Chinese, basic mathematics, advanced mathematics, advanced Chinese, accounting, physics and chemistry, geography, etc. The score requirements for applying for the polytechnic through the O level are: mathematics + English + the best scores in other 3 subjects, but some majors may have special requirements according to the majors chosen. For example, if you want to apply for Chinese-related courses in the Polytechnic, there are certain requirements for Chinese scores.
The O level adopts a point system, which are A1, A2, B3, B4, C5, C6, D7, D8 and E9. The lower the score, the better the performance. A general grade of A, B, and C means a pass, while D and E are a fail. Different majors in the polytechnic have different requirements for scores.
Students with a total score of less than 15 have the opportunity to be admitted to fourteen government junior colleges.

The Singapore A-level is a qualifying examination for admission to universities in Singapore. This result is internationally recognized and can be directly admitted to universities in the Commonwealth of Nations.
Candidates who successfully pass the A-level examination can be admitted to Singapore government universities such as the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, etc. A-level registration is required 3 months in advance, and the notification time for test results is 2-3 months.
Local students in Singapore can apply for the exam after completing JC, which is a junior college. The government also encourages the public and overseas students to apply for the exam. If the applicant is abroad, the age limit is 18-25 years old. If the applicant is in Singapore, the age can be relaxed to 30 years old, and other conditions remain unchanged.
